the Grammys on a bonding trip to Montreal and winning
the talent show at the prestigious Washington landmark,

CD of original songs by this father and son duo,

“Live” at the Reagan Trade Center in downtown
Washington DC featuring some of DC’s best Jazz
instrumentalists. All the musicians that played on
this live performance had met each other for only
20 minutes prior to playing the gig. The musicianship
and professionalism and respect for each other’s
craft is about the best that one can expect in an
improvisational setting. The album features, Shawn
Doolittle on drums, Doc Samba on bass, David Cosby
on guitar, Didier Prossaird on keyboards and Frank
Agbro on acoustic guitar and vocals. It’s entertaining
and good listening.
Franko,”I made the recording using the audio
from a Sony video camera. I had placed the camera
in a pretty good location near the stage where it
could capture what was going on musically and the
audiences response. My goal was to get a recording
as close to the action as possible, as if you were
there. I took the audio from the video and went into
the studio and mastered it. I’m grateful that
I was able to capture this breathtaking musical moment
in time”. |
